Admission Notification For Masters Programme In Environment Planning & Management – 2013

Applications are invited for admission to Two year Masters in Environment Planning & Management for the academic year 2013-14.

Application fee of Rs.550/- is to be paid along the application form – please see details in the application form.

Eligibility

Candidates shall be eligible for admission to the First Year of the Masters’ Degree program if they have obtained at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/ OBC candidates), at the qualifying examination for program respectively, as given below:

Bachelors’ Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Environmental Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent, or Masters’ Degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology of a recognized University or equivalent.

Process and Fees

Admission process shall include application shortlisting, written test and interview. Course Fee is Rs. 39,100/- per annum including refundable of Security Deposit Rs. 10,000/-.

Hostel Fees, Mess Fees and related deposit are to be paid in addition to the above course fees.

Announcement of Eligible Candidates for Exam: 25th July 2013

Date of exam / interview: 01st Aug 2013 (at SPA Vijayawada campus only)

Display of Selected Candidates (on Merit): 03rd Aug, 2013

Registration for Admission Finalisation & Payment of Fees: 09 Aug, 2013

Start of Classes: 12 Aug, 2013

Scholarship

A limited number of Scholarships, each of Rs. 8,000/- per month will be awarded on merit, subject to the terms and conditions prescribed by Government of India, AICTE and the School from time to time, for non-sponsored category of students admitted to Masters’ degree programs with valid GATE score or qualified in the UGC (NET)  JRF Examination.

 ABOUT SPAV

School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, (in short SPAV), was established on July 7, 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, as an autonomous institution. SPAV is a premier Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI) directly under the MHRD, for excellence in the fields of Planning and Architecture. Although in its nascent stage, with experienced faculty and guest lectures by eminent visiting faculty and industry experts from all over the country, the quality of education imparted and its focus on research puts SPAV in the league of leading institutes in the country.
