Post Graduate Common Entrance Test-2013 for admission to 1st year/1st semester MCA/M.E./M.Tech/ M.Arch Courses
Pursuant to the Government letter ED 55 TEC 2013 date 22nd April 2013 applications are invited from the eligible interested Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates for admission to 01st year

MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch Courses in the institutions affiliated to Universities as notified by the Government of Karnataka for the year 2013-14

Candidates have to appear for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test 2013 conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority to become eligible for admission to these courses

The candidates with valid GATE score need not appear for PGCET-2013 for admission to M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch Courses but they have to enter application online to become eligible for admission
Non-Karnataka students are eligible to select only the seats surrendered by the management, if any for MCA course

Academic Eligibility:

For MCA: A candidate who has passed any under graduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subject and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to MCA courses; 45% of marks in both Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates

Provided that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified above in Pre-University Course with fifty percent of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission; 45% of marks in both Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates

Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management); courses: A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying exam (BE/B.Tech/B.Arch) or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/MBA (Infrastructure Management) courses; 45% of marks in both Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-1 candidates

In addition to this candidate after obtaining the complete degree, must have worked for not less than three years before the issue of notification for the relevant year, in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission

Based on the performance of the candidates in the Common Entrance Test, the rank list will be prepared and published for admission to the above courses (Except MBA-For MBA, based on CMAT score)

Therefore, the candidates are advised to attend the counselling only if they are having the requisite percentage of marks in the qualifying exam (i.e., should have obtained 50% of aggregate marks of all the years of the degree exam; 45% of aggregate marks of all the years in the degree exam in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Category-1)

Step I: Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 600/- for General and OBC (Rs. 300/- SC/ST Category-1) through NEFT from any Nationalised Bank payable to Account No. 878333780 with NEFT/IFSC Code IDIB000M010 at the Indian Bank, Malleshwaram, Branch, Bangalore and send an e-mail to Administrative Office, KEA at keauthourity-ka@nic.in Payment by any other mode will be not accepted
Step II: Candidate will receive at UTR number for having paid the requisite application fee from the Bank
Step III: Enter all such fee paid details ONLINE by browsing URL on website http://kea.kar.nic.in
Step IV: Only upon entry of payment details candidates will be able to enter the application details ONLINE
The detailed instructions are appended on the website
Step V: Enter all application details on the same URL
Step VI: Upload Colour Photograph and Signature in JPG format along with application
KEA will retain one of the original documents of the candidates under acknowledgement which will be returned to the candidate only after candidate obtained admission
After ascertaining the payment details from the bank candidate will be permitted to download the admission ticket

The information/particulars entered by the candidates online for admission to MCA/ME/M.Tech will be deemed as “Final” and will be the basis for further process

No change in any information entered by the candidates will be entertained

The candidates whose result are yet to be announced on date of Document Verification and collection of their password will be permitted to take admissions subject to the condition that they provide the qualifying examination score immediately after the results of the qualifying examination are announced to justify their claim

In the event of them not being qualified for MCA/ME/M.Tech admission will be cancelled automatically

The Prospectus and the Application form may be obtained from 06th July, 2013 in person in the Office of the Administrative Officer, Senate Bhavana, Manasagangotri, Mysore- 570006 or; from the Offices of respective Post-Graduate Centres, on payment of Rs.200/- for each application form

The candidates can also get Application form inclusive of the prospectus through post, by sending Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- (Rs.100/- towards Postal Charges) drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysore

Candidates may also down-load the application form from the University Website: http.uni.mysore.ac.inand submit the same with a demand draft for Rs.200 (Two
Hundred only) towards application fee, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer,
University of Mysore, Mysore

Separate application form should be submitted for admission to each course and also for seeking admission to one and the same course at different Post-Graduate Centres

The filled-in application form in all respects of all courses (except for M.Phil) along with necessary certificates and copies of marks cards and certificate relating to caste/ category in case of claim for reservation under such category/caste should be submitted to the Chairpersons of respective Department of Studies at Manasagangotri, Mysore-570006 on or before 05th August, 2013 (latest by 05.00 p.m.)
