Top 5 Largest Snake Species

There are some giant snakes that roam our planet, but do you know which snake species are the biggest of them all. These are the top 5 biggest snakes in the world.
It starts with the Burmese Python which is native to Southeast Asia and has an average life span of around 25 years. It grows up to 18 feet long and weights up to 250 pounds.
One freak specimen was said to have weighed over 400 pounds and was measured at 27 feet from the Serpent Safari Park in Illinois. However, after the python died, the report was that it was only 18.1 feet, still a record for a Burmese Python at the time
The Burmese Python species has been setting record numbers and may not be at the 5th biggest snake species in the world for very long.
In the Florida Everglades this snake species has taken over the Everglades and has destroyed, (eaten) 90% of all of the wildlife there. This invasive species is not native to Florida and has no predators and is straight dominating the eco-system.

Next on the list is the African Rock Python which weights up to 300 pounds, reaches lengths around 19-23 feet and lives and average life span of about 12 years.
The Reticulated Python is in fact the longest living species of snake on our planet reaches lengths of 30-33 feet in the wild. They can weight up to 350 pounds and can be found all over Southeast Asia.
The Green Anaconda is the biggest living snake species by mass as it weighs up to 550 pounds and is the second longest only to the Retic. Green Anacondas terrorize large animals all over South America and love to spend most of its time in the rivers that run through it.
The Titanoboa is the biggest snake to EVER roam the earth. This prehistoric giant snake was believed to grow up to 43 feet in length and weigh upwards of 2,500 pounds. Their fossils have been found in South America and haven’t been a threat to wildlife for over 60 million years.
