Working directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for a large part of our front-line delivery work on competition and consumer cases. The period ahead will see significant changes to the consumer and competition regimes. As a member of the Board and Executive Committee you will play a major role in leading the organisation through this period of change, ensuring a smooth transition to the new Competition & Markets Authority and other successor organisations, enabling them to be fully effective from the outset.
You will have extensive experience in competition or consumer issues or enforcement in another regulatory or similar field as well as strong leadership skills, ideally working in an Executive or Board setting, and a track record of motivating professional multi-disciplinary teams in a changing environment. The ability to take strategic decisions in complex competition and consumer cases is essential as is experience of managing complex project work. You will be a persuasive communicator with excellent judgement and strong analytical skills.
