5 THINGS THAT CAN KILL YOUR DREAM

1. Fear

Fear is one of the most significant obstacles that can stop people from pursuing their dreams. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, fear of what others might think - all these fears can hold you back and prevent you from taking risks or stepping out of your comfort zone.

2. Lack of focus

If you don't have a clear idea of what you want to achieve, it's difficult to work towards that goal. Without a specific target in mind, you might find yourself wandering aimlessly and lacking the drive to take action.

3. Negative self-talk

The way you talk to yourself can have a profound impact on your ability to pursue your dreams. If you're constantly telling yourself that you're not good enough, or that you'll never make it, you're likely to lose motivation and give up on your aspirations.

ECOWAS to finalize Niger deployment plans this week

Aug. 16 (UPI) -- The defense chiefs of more than a dozen West African nations will meet this week to finalize plans for the deployment of its Standby Force to Niger, where signs that the recent ousting of its democratic government and subsequent political turmoil is threatening security in the region may be beginning to show.

Niger, a Western ally in the turbulent Sahel region, fell in a coup July 26. Since then, the 15-nation Economic Community of West African States intergovernmental union, of which Niamey is a member, has been threatening military intervention if the usurping National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland does not reinstate the government of President Mohamed Bazoum, who appears to be under house arrest.

"I want to live till 150 and she's 123years old now" The old woman shared the way she prolonged her life.

The old lady Sefi Oyeyemi was born in 1900, she overcame the revolution, 2 World Wars, the reforms and new changes. In our national record, she was honoured as the oldest person in Nigeria, on 4 May she will be 123 years old.

Ms Sefi Oyeyemi has not only surpassed the people of her time but also their children.

She often attempts medical checkups. Every year, the doctors say the only thing: totally healthy, she can even travel to the moon tomorrow without any problems.

Despite her long life, Ms Oyeyemi rarely leaves her village and she always refuses to move to the town with her children. They think that she is rather old. But age does not matter a lot.

Ms Oyeyemi lives in a small house with the family of her youngest child. She takes care of the household by herself. She has her own garden and raises livestock and poultry as cows, pigs and hens. She has enough strength to take care of all this stuff.

Woman accidentally films man stalking and sniffing her in Barnes & Noble, unearths ‘creepy’ string of similar attacks

A TikToker who set out on a self-love journey accidentally captured a prolific stalker in the Burbank area — and as the footage continues to go viral, more unsettling details are rising to the surface.

For the past 20 days, Michaela Witter (@michaela.witter) has been filming herself embarking on “100 solo dates” for TikTok — dates like reading in the park, making homeless care kits or buying herself flowers.

“As someone who was always scared of eating by myself, some of these are going to be a challenge … but going on these dates has really been helping my confidence and love for myself,” Witter wrote in the caption of her first solo date video.

However, on day 20 of her solo date experiment, Witter encountered the reason why many women find it challenging to go solo in public.

While filming herself enjoying a day at Barnes & Noble and Starbucks (the randomly picked date for the day), Witter also captured a stranger following her throughout the store, kneeling under her legs, and sniffing her (and another nearby woman) repeatedly.

But since going viral, the footage has unearthed a string of similar attacks in the area, as victims are sharing their own eerily similar experiences in the comments — and in video footage of their own.

“When I posted the first TikTok about it, it was disturbing to hear how many women have experienced something similar to what happened to me,” Witter said in an exclusive statement to In The Know by Yahoo.

“But then to hear how many women were affected by this man specifically was even more shocking. It’s just so horrible that we can’t even feel safe going somewhere like a bookstore by ourselves.”

‘The ugly side of doing things solo as a woman…’

Witter’s now viral video begins like all of her past solo date installments. She pulls a date idea at random, heads to the location and films her experience on the date.

WASHINGTON (AP) — After nearly three weeks of appealing to the United States and other allies for help restoring Niger’s president to power, friends and supporters of the democratically elected leader are making a simpler plea: Save his life.

President Mohamed Bazoum, leader of the last remaining Western-allied democracy across a vast stretch of Africa’s Sahara and Sahel, sits confined with his family in an unlit basement of his presidential compound, cut off from resupplies of food and from electricity and cooking gas by the junta that overthrew him, Niger's ambassador to the United States told The Associated Press.

Trump's 1st amendment rights are 'not absolute,' judge says in hearing on proposed protective order

The judge overseeing special counsel Jack Smith's Jan. 6 case against former President Donald Trump says Trump has a right to free speech -- but it's not absolute.

Judge Tanya Chutkan is hearing arguments this morning on the terms of a protective order Smith is seeking against the former president.

Smith is seeking the protective order -- which he wants in place prior to his team turning over to Trump's attorneys materials gathered during the discovery process so they can prepare Trump's defense -- "to prevent is the improper dissemination or use of discovery materials, including to the public," according to a court filing Smith made last week.
